About Adam's Thoughts

Updated: June 12, 2026

Hello everyone, my name is Adam. I am originally from the United States, but I currently live in Vietnam with my wife and our son.

I have severe obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and in 2022 I left the United States because my OCD had become overwhelming. Not long afterward, I met my wife, got married, and eventually became a father.

The purpose of this website is not to give medical advice or tell anyone what they should do. Instead, it is a place where I share my personal experiences living with OCD, the challenges I have faced, the mistakes I have made, and the progress I continue to work toward every day.

I do my best to write in a way that minimizes triggers for other people with OCD, but if something I write happens to be difficult for you, please know that it is never my intention.

If you are struggling with OCD, I hope you find comfort in knowing that you are not alone. Millions of people around the world live with this disorder, and many of us understand how difficult it can be.

Thank you for visiting Adam's Thoughts and for allowing me to share part of my story with you.

A Note About My Writing

All of the stories and experiences shared on this website are my own and are based on real events from my life.

I do use artificial intelligence tools to help correct grammar, spelling, formatting, and readability. I also occasionally use AI-generated images to illustrate articles.

However, the stories themselves are not AI-generated. The experiences, thoughts, challenges, and lessons described throughout this website come from my personal life and my own experiences living with OCD.

My goal is to share authentic experiences in a way that is easier to read and understand while remaining true to the original story.
