My personal recommendation is after 5:00 PM. The city begins to light up, temperatures become more comfortable, and the views are much more dramatic.

Vietnam can be extremely hot, especially on the water where sunlight reflects from the river. If you ride during the day, bring water and consider sitting inside the cabin.
